Can my child start attending even without knowing English?
Certainly every child has a natural talent for acquiring new language skills if guided correctly. An initial assessment and an accompanying phase are provided for full integration within 6 months at any level of the school curriculum. These are the data from our real experience; children are able to face this transition calmly and naturally.
What does it mean to be an Accredited and International school?
The Italian ministerial program is a richness for our school, but the hours of English taught at English Gate School are identical to those of an international school, and the training program is based on the International Curriculum.
What kind of English teachers do you select for your school?
In English Gate School, simply knowing how to speak English is not enough to teach our students. In addition to being native speakers, our teachers have obtained suitable qualifications to practice the profession of teacher and for the specific subjects they are assigned, have verified training in pedagogical subjects, and have experience teaching in many international schools abroad.
You are an international school but do not adopt the IB method?
The IB method is a very valid and internationally recognized teaching approach, but it is not the only valid method. We have chosen to adopt the International Curriculum and for creating even more didactic and approach richness, we integrate it with other excellences, so why stop and limit ourselves to the IB? We call our International Curriculum ‘Open Source’ because we wanted to harmoniously integrate the best that several well-known methodologies have to teach and offer: International Curriculum of studies, Montessori method, Reggio Emilia approach, IB program, the school of emotions, and others.
